Eligibility

This investigator is not just responsible for one great investigation, but is recognized for their consistency in being resourceful, and in the quality and execution of their performance as a whole.  A partner and an innovator, this individual isn't afraid to get their hands dirty in picking up each stone to see what might be underneath, and is more than comfortable in seeking out the answer when a question should arise.  

To be eligible for nomination, the Investigator must currently be, or have been, in the role for which they are being nominated, for some or all of the calendar year of the nomination.  Individuals must be nominated by someone other than themselves. For the purpose of recognizing a specific investigation, please consider nominating in the Investigation of the Year category.

Eddie is an experienced professional with 19 years of successful strategic and tactical leadership within the law enforcement, loss prevention, and security industries with various companies including his current role at Luxottica, as well as Walmart Inc., McDonald's USA, LLC., JCPenney Company, Inc. and communications provider Leap Wireless International/ Cricket Communications. Eddie has a proven track record for success in reducing shrink, minimizing losses, and maximizing profits. He is skilled in conducting investigations and interrogations, mining for data from exception-based reports/ software, conducting comprehensive audits, building partnerships and relationships, with an elevated experience in training development, project management and investigations.

Eddie has a strong background in law enforcement, operational planning, intelligence operations, and legal processes acquired during his previous role with the Office of Intelligence for the Department of Homeland Security's (OHS) investigative component, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Eddie is skilled in conducting extensive investigations, handling classified information, processing intelligence data, and producing comprehensive reports relating to localized and global threats impacting national security.

In 2023, as Regional Manager of Investigations, Eddie oversaw hundreds of Critical Incidents coming from the West Region of the United States for Luxottica and he was able to bring closure to approximately 105 cases with an estimated total loss in $2.25 million dollars.
